This test detects Feline Parvovirus (FPV) and Feline Coronavirus (FCoV), two of the most important gut pathogens in cats. FPV is highly contagious and often deadly, causing vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and sudden decline. FCoV usually causes mild diarrhea but in some cats can lead to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a fatal disease. Testing allows early action and reduces spread to other cats.
Sample type: feces.
